Regina Long

Regina A. (Burnsed) Long, age 75, was called home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2026. She was born on August 28, 1950.

Regina was the beloved wife of Fayne Long and a devoted mother to Jason Long and Jamie (Long) Baca. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Anthony Baca, and lovingly regarded Kriss Smith, Jason’s partner, as part of her family. Family was a blessing from God to Regina, and she lived her life grounded in love, service, and faith.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Anthony (Mariah) Baca, Alex (Katie) Baca, Marcus Baca, Joshua Long, Natalie (Ryan) Gonzales, and Jacob Long, and a cherished great-grandmother to eight great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, all of whom were a source of great joy and pride.

In addition to raising her own children, Regina lovingly raised her sister, Donna Wuenst, and her brother, John Burnsed, as her own—an extraordinary act of sacrifice that reflected her Christ-like compassion and unwavering devotion to family.

Regina will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and generous heart. She found peace in simple blessings, especially caring for her chickens and freely giving away their eggs to friends, family, and neighbors—living out her faith through quiet acts of love and service. She loved sewing and making quilts for her family and friends. She would make baby quilts for every new addition and loved customizing them to each person.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Regina is now free of pain and resting in the arms of her Savior. She is rejoicing in heaven, dancing with Jesus, and reunited with loved ones gone before her, healed and made whole in God’s eternal promise.

She has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. She is deeply loved and will be forever missed.
