Rich passed away October 10, 2019 at his ranch in Wetmore, Colorado. Rich never gave up hope and struggled fiercely against cancer for over a year. His wife Beverly and faithful dog Callie remained at his side throughout the ordeal.

Rich moved to Colorado in 1971. He was employed by Tim Cox Construction, building roads in the Pinery (Parker, Colorado). It was during this time, that he met Beverly Hopper, and married her on November 16, 1973.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; stepdaughters, Sandy Ramsour, Susan (Scott) Hall, and stepson, Randy (Julia) Hopper; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at Franktown Cemetery, Franktown, Colorado on October 17, 2019 at 11:00 am. A memorial will follow at the Sandy Ramsour residence: 2206 Sandhurst Dr. Castle Rock, Colorado.
