Richard Veinotte Obituary

Richard Veinotte, born on September 16, 1939, in Brookline, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, surrounded by the family he so dearly loved and his favorite four legged friend, Gunner. Richard lived a life that was a testament to his kind heart and unwavering generosity. Known for his willingness to help others, he embodied compassion and selflessness in every interaction. As a father, Richard’s unique and loving skillset set him apart. His unwavering devotion, abundant appreciation, and evident gratitude shaped the lives of those around him. He wasn’t just a Dad and a grandfather but a mentor, role model, and a constant source of love and inspiration. Richard’s joy and sense of adventure defined his life. He approached each day with a free and happy spirit, making memories that would last a lifetime. This wild and free spirit shined the brightest when he was on stage at the Rialto Theater, where he sang with his soul, leaving everyone captivated by his passion and young energy. He was more than just a father and grandpa—he was a cherished uncle, brother, and friend. Richard’s presence was magnetic, and his love of life was contagious. He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued, a legacy that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him forever. He leaves behind his beloved sister, Carol Willyard, his niece, Darleen Altermatt, his one and only daughter, Char Cornwell, and his treasured grandchildren: Janae and Spencer, Jake, Jesiah, Jenna, Jace, and his great grandchildren, Teigan, Roman, Renley, and Libby. Each of them carries forward the love, wisdom, and craftsmanship he so generously shared. Richard Veinotte was truly “The man, The myth, The legend.” His adventurous spirit, joyful heart, and immense love for his family leave behind a legacy worthy of such a title. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, Richard’s spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched. May his memory continue to inspire us to live boldly, love deeply, and embrace each moment with gratitude. This isn’t goodbye, this is a see you later. You will be forever loved and deeply missed. Make sure you give Your son Steve and your brother Leon and your Devoted wife Dianne a huge hug and kiss from all of us!
