Rose Mary Kowalski

Rose M. Kowalski, age 60, of Cañon City, Colorado, passed away at St. Thomas Moore Hospital on March 23, 2022, after a brief illness. Rose is the daughter of the late Henry and Dolores Kowalski of Belgium, Wisconsin, the youngest of 10 children.

Rose graduated from Cedar Grove High School of Cedar Grove, WI, going on to receive a BA degree in Art from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. She lived and worked in many places, but always found Colorado to be her “home”. Horticulture and learning to play the guitar, and other instruments, were her passions. She enjoyed “jamming” with other musicians and freely shared her musical talents with others.

Rose is survived by the love of her life, Tom Geiman of Cañon City, CO; sisters, Sr. Rose (given name, Carol) Kowalski of Nicaragua, Jeanne Kowalski of Milwaukee, WI, Laura (Mark) Nevins of Plymouth, WI, Kathy (Bob) Poull of Grafton, WI, and Alice (Dan) Brill of Cedar Grove, WI; brothers, Bruce (Kathy Fronek) Kowalski of MD, Dave Bilder a.k.a Walter of AZ, and Karl (Jodi) Kowalski of TX; as well as 8 nieces and nephews, 11 great-nieces and nephews, and many musician friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Jeffrey Kowalski.

A celebration of Rose’s life will be held at a later date.
