Sandra Embry-Shelver

Sandra Elaine Embry-Shelver, 53, of Canon City, Colorado, passed away on August 23, 2025. She was born November 4, 1971, in Salida, Colorado, to Jack Embry and Barbara (Linton) Embry. Sandra graduated from Cotopaxi High School in 1990, married the love of her life in 1997, and obtained her Doctorate of Naturopathy in 2011. She touched the lives of many with her love of music, bringing joy through her piano playing and beautiful voice. Sandra and Dave loved to travel, do ministry and spend time with their kids and grandkids.  She enjoyed caring for her flowers, and spending time with her many friends, but her greatest joy was being mom, and “Meme” to her two grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, David Shelver; her parents, Jack and Barbara Embry; her brother Scott Embry, and sister-in-law, Vickie Embry; her daughter Cassandra McCune, and son-in-law, Chris McCune; her cherished grandchildren Johnathan and Payton McCune; and many other family members and loved ones. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her beautiful life at Living Stone Calvary Chapel on September 6th at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.
