Sandra Lee was born in Nebraska on July 18, 1946 and she went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2025. Sandy was an only child to Harold Earl and Lucille Ella Hickmen.
She married George Lee and they had a happy and loving marriage for 48 years. Sandy also welcomed her mother-in-law into their home and her sister-in-law, Ruby Windsor.
Sandy was known for her talent with animals specifically dogs and horses. She was a United States Marine, an extremely talented artist, and a CNA throughout her life. She was known to be a caregiver even outside of work, that was something she enjoyed doing. She was also an amazing foster mom to many children. Although Sandy could not have children of her own, she adopted children. She will be missed by her children, Bobby (Wynona) French, Victoria (Jeremiah) Myers, Skylar Camper, and Doug Cagney; grandchildren, Kelcie (Kaleb) Elliott, Bradin Myers, and Malachi French; as well as great grandchildren, Braxton Davis, Josie Knighton; and her best friend, Zillah Elliott; and nephew, Ralph Windsor. In her last few months, she was surrounded by George, Ruby, Victoria, Kelcie, Kaleb, Doug, Josie, Braxton and Zillah who all loved her unconditionally. It's a great gift to know that she is not going to be in pain, and she is with a wonderful gift of life from our father who loves us in heaven.
Celebration of Life to be held on April 19, 2025 at 1pm on the farm that she was so madly in love with: 1019 K Street, Penrose, CO.
