Sharon Graff passed away in her home on May 1, 2022. She was born in Orange, California to Thomas and Evelyn Pate on February 12, 1938.
After receiving a degree from Chapman University, Sharon moved to Illinois where she welcomed her three sons into the world, Philip, Bradley, and Matthew. The family moved to Canon City in 1977 and it has been her home ever since.
Sharon’s greatest love was her family. She was an amazing cook and would host weekly dinners for her children and their spouses. Sharon was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in bible studies with her dear friends. She loved the outdoors, drawing, painting, sewing, knitting, her pets, and spending time with loved ones. Her grandchildren loved to have “grandma days” which would be filled with walks by the river, puzzles, songs, snuggle time, and crafts. She also loved to read and found many great books at yard sales.
Those who will miss her most are her sister, Jan (Dan) Spencer; sister-in-law, Sharon Pate; children, Philip (Becky), Brad (Shae), and Matt Graff; grandchildren, Clayton (Cassie), Curtis, and Kenny Schrepel, Lincoln Benefiel, Matalyn Redding-Graff, Benjamin, and Erin Graff; and great-grandchild, Deacon Schrepel.
Welcoming her into eternal life are her parents and her brother, Tom.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fremont County Humane Society in Sharon’s name.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Canon City.
