Sharon Moyers, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Cañon City, Colorado, surrounded by her family. After a courageous battle with cancer, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born on September 6, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Charles and Betty Hall. She grew up in Security, Colorado, alongside her two sisters, Carol and Candy, and graduated from Widefield High School in 1967.
In 1988, Sharon fulfilled a lifelong dream by earning her cosmetology license. She went on to work at several salons in Cañon City and Westcliffe before opening her own salon in her home. Later, she embraced a new adventure managing a campground in Leadville during the summer months, and enjoying winters in Tucson, Arizona, where she enjoyed the warm sunny days with friends.
Sharon was a gifted crafter who loved crocheting and creating with her hands. Her greatest joy, however, was found in her family—especially spending time with her grandchildren. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in all she did.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry Moyers; her daughter, Wendy (Marcus) Divita; her four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Carol (Bob) Budd and Candy Waggener. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Hall.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Wellspring Church: 950 Victory Lane, Florence, Colorado. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery: 1008 Elm Avenue, Cañon City, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Sharon’s memory be made to the John Zay Guest House at Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation.
