Shirley Ann Miller, 93, long-time resident of Canon City, passed away July 24, 2025, in Colorado Springs. Up until the end, Shirley maintained her kindness, compassion, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and varied experiences.

Shirley was active in her community, volunteering at the Canon City Public Library, St. Thomas More hospital, and particularly enjoying bridge and bridge-playing friends, and music and art events. She famously enjoyed introducing her family to new sports, and was a founding member of the Mother Earth Ski Team. She was a dedicated member of PEO.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis LaVon Miller; her daughter Hope, son Matthew, sister Nancy (Hal) St. Pier, and brother Don (Gloria) Ping.
She is survived by her brother Steve (Terri) Ping, sons Jason (Cheryl) Miller and Jesse (Bonnie MacLachlan) Miller, grandchildren Michael (Kasha) Miller, Emily (Austin Hill) Miller, Derek Miller, and Phillip (Cassie Brozek) Miller.
