Stanley Ruh Obituary

Stanley Ruh passed away at home and surrounded by his family on January 23, 2021.

Stanley was born on May 13, 1953 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Robert and Dorothy (Wojahn) Ruh.

Throughout his life, Stanley enjoyed playing golf, bowling, hunting and fishing. He was also a talented musician and spent many years in the bands Spirits of the Past and Outta Style Show Band where he was known as Birdie. He played the drums, saxophone and harmonica.

On September 30, 1972, Stanley married Susan Hudson, a marriage that lasted 48 years.

In 2000, Stanley and Susan moved to Colorado, where Stanley was a locksmith at Middick’s Locksmith Shop for many years.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Susan, of Canon City; children, Tanya (Randy) Wolfgram of Omro, Wisconsin, Megan (Derek) Schrauth also of Omro, and John (Dana) Ruh of Oshkosh; and seven grandchildren, Bradley, Peyton, Kayli, Brian, Gavin, Macie and Harper; siblings, Mike (Crystal) Ruh of Montana, Vicki (Joe) McDowell, Pam (Bruce) Noebel, Cindy (Dave) Chapin all of Oshkosh; and many more dear family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; twin brother, Steven Ruh (Harry); and one nephew, Aaron Noebel.

The family would like to thank Sangre de Cristo Hospice, St. Thomas More Hospital and Holt Family Funeral Home for their care and support.
