Tracy Annette (Wheeler) Greenstreet

Tracy Annette (Wheeler) Greenstreet passed away Friday, May 7th, 2021 in her home in Westcliffe, Colorado after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Tracy was born July 21, 1960 to Harold L. and Avis Darlene (Duston) Wheeler in Denver, Colorado. Tracy spent the first 18 years of her life in the Denver area, graduating from Westminster High School in 1978. In 1978 the family moved to Canon City, Colorado. It was in Canon City that she met her husband of 40 years, Jerry Greenstreet. Tracy and Jerry were married March 14, 1981 in Canon City, Colorado. Their marriage produced three beautiful and loving children who were the joy of Tracy’s life.

Tracy’s main career was being a loving homemaker. She volunteered much of her time to her children’s activities and was a Girls Scout Leader for many years. In her younger years, Tracy worked in Canon City’s J.C. Penney’s, Copper Mountain Resort, Westcliffe School District and helped at the family restaurant in Westcliffe, J.B.’s Café and the Feed Store until it’s closure.  Her true joy in life was family, and anyone who needed help or an adoptive mother, Tracy was it. She touched more lives than we can list here. Numerous friends of the children lovingly referred to her as “Ma Ma”. Tracy went out of her way to stay in touch with cousins, great aunts, and uncles. Tracy never met a stranger and her home was always open to all.

Tracy was very creative and loved making crafts. She spent countless hours with her children and grandchildren making gifts for everyone. Tracy always designed and made her children and grandchildren’s Halloween costumes. Her other hobbies included antique collecting, going to garage sales, and making the “occasional” trip to Cripple Creek. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and you could always count on the family home being decorated to its fullest including a fresh cut tree immediately following Thanksgiving.

 She is survived by her husband Jerry, Son; Christopher (Monica) Greenstreet, Daughters; Amanda (Alan) Paxton, Breanna (Tom Henry) Greenstreet. Tracy is also survived by her five grandchildren; Lauren Greenstreet, Gaige Paxton, Lyla Greenstreet, Peyton Schultz, and Riley Annette Henry, Her Mother; Darlene Wheeler, Month-in-law; Gloria Greenstreet and her sisters; Avis (Dean) Italiano, Candy (Leonard) VanDyke and Dianne (Aaron) Seng. Tracy has many surviving nieces and nephews who were like children to her and she loved them with all her heart. Also surviving are many friends, too many to mention. Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Harold Wheeler, grandparents Minie and Lawrence Wheeler, Ransom and Margaret Duston, and father-in-law Donald Greenstreet.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wet Mountain Valley Saddle Club 90 CO RD 241, Westcliffe, Colorado 81252.
